Man Utd tipped to keep top-four dreams alive when Leicester visit Old Trafford

Saturday’s late kick-off in the English Premier League sees Manchester United welcome Leicester City to Old Trafford.

The two side are separated by 14 points in the table, with sixth-place Man Utd leading tenth-place Leicester. However, the Foxes have two games in hand.

With the Red Devils sitting four points behind fourth-place Arsenal, the hosts will be desperate to claim all three points in order to keep their Champions League hopes alive.

Man Utd return to action after beating Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 before the international break, thanks to a hat-trick from Cristiano Ronaldo.

That means Ralf Rangnick’s side have lost just one of their past ten Premier League games and have won three of their previous five.

When you look at the bigger picture, the Old Trafford outfit have only suffered two defeats in their last 17 league matches.

Given that three of Man Utd’s past four Premier League outings have produced over 4.5 goals, we should see plenty of action on Saturday.

As for Leicester, they also picked up a win before the international break – beating Brentford 2-1 at the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes have won three of their last four Premier League clashes and also kept clean sheets against Burnley and Leeds at the start of March.

Still, there is no hiding from the fact that Brendan Rodgers’ side are have underperformed for large portions of the current campaign.

Leicester have managed to win just ten of their 27 Premier League games this season, registering six draws and 11 losses along the way.

Head-to-head: In the reverse fixture back in October, Leicester City thrashed Manchester United 4-2 at the King Power.

Man Utd have failed to win any of their previous four meetings with the Foxes across all competitions, losing each of the last three.

Team news: Paul Pogba and Raphael Varane are both doubts for Man Utd this weekend as they continue to recover from foot injuries.

On the flip side, Leicester could be without as many as six first-team players for the trip to Old Trafford – including Jamie Vardy, Ryan Bertrand, Wilfred Ndidi and Marc Albrighton.

Although Leicester have upped their game of late, Man Utd should be too strong for the visitors on Saturday.

Forebet predicts that Man Utd will keep a clean sheet on their way to dispatching the Foxes at Old Trafford.
