Salernitana’s situation is becoming ever more perilous as each match passes in the Italian top flight as the hosts now find themselves 10 points adrift of fourth from bottom side, Cagliari, and safety following a heavy 5-0 defeat away from home at Inter Milan last weekend.

Previous wins against Inter Milan 2-0 away and a 2-1 home win against Fiorentina will also contribute to Sassuolo’s positive mindset ahead of this upcoming encounter at the basement dwellers of Serie A.
Sassuolo have lost just three out of their last 16 matches overall in the domestic top flight.
In addition, Sassuolo have made themselves tough to beat on their travels in recent times as well with the visitors losing just once in their previous eight games on their travels and they’re expected to produce another stubborn performance away at Salernitana on Saturday afternoon as well.
The bigger picture shows that Sassuolo have lost just four of their last 18 away games and have scored 2 goals or more on no fewer than 13 occasions.
Sassuolo have won each of the last four meetings on the trot against Salernitana and a fifth straight win looks to beckon here this Saturday.
