Tottenham tipped to topple the Toffees

On Monday night, Everton will aim to steer clear of the relegation zone when they visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League.

The Toffees find themselves just a single point outside the bottom three, although they have games in hand over the teams below.

Meanwhile, Tottenham sit in seventh place – five points shy of the Champions League places and 20 points ahead of Everton.

Spurs were knocked out of the FA Cup by Middlesbrough on Tuesday, suffering an extra-time loss to the Championship side.

Despite racking up 15 shots at the Riverside Stadium – six of which were on target – Antonio Conte’s men were unable to avoid defeat.

In the Premier League, Tottenham’s form has been extremely unpredictable since the turn of year. In 2022, they have recorded four wins and four losses in the league.

Although Spurs thrashed Leeds 4-0 last weekend, it is worth noting that they have lost four of their previous six Premier League outings.

On the flip side, Everton head into Monday’s clash on the back of a 2-0 FA Cup victory over fifth-tier side Boreham Wood.

The Toffees enjoyed a whopping 80% possession on Thursday, racking up 23 shots in the process. A second-half brace from Salomon Rondon eventually sealed the deal.

In the Premier League, however, things don’t look good for Frank Lampard’s side. They have lost six of their last seven league outings, picking up just a single win along the way.

If they carry on the way they’re going, Everton will get dragged into the relegation battle – especially if the teams around them continue to pick up points.

Head-to-head: Each of the last three meetings between Tottenham and Everton have ended in a draw, as well as five of the previous seven.

Believe it or not, Everton have only managed to win one of their last 19 meetings with Spurs across all competitions.

Team news: Oliver Skipp, Japhet Tanganga, Rodrigo Bentancur and Lucas Moura are all injury doubts for Tottenham.

Everton will be without Yerry Mina, Fabian Delph, Ben Godfrey and Tom Davies on Monday. There are also question marks over the fitness of Dominic-Calvert Lewin.

Although Tottenham have been wildly unpredictable under Conte, they should have more than enough firepower to see off struggling Everton.

Forebet predicts that Spurs will score over 2.5 goals and keep a clean sheet on their way to crushing the Toffees.
