The Premier League’s late kick-off on Saturday sees West Ham United visit Anfield to face Liverpool in the race for a top-four finish.

The Hammers find themselves fifth in the Premier League – two points behind fourth-place Manchester United. However, sixth-place Arsenal have three games in hand.

On the flip side, Jurgen Klopp’s men sit second in the standings – 15 points ahead of West Ham and six points behind Manchester City.

Liverpool head into Saturday’s clash on the back of a 2-1 victory over Norwich in the FA Cup, following on from their EFL Cup final triumph over Chelsea.

The Reds are currently enjoying an 11-game winning streak across all competitions, having registered a goalless draw against Arsenal back in mid-January.

It is also worth noting that Liverpool are also enjoying a 14-match unbeaten run, with their last defeat coming against Leicester just after Christmas.

Given that Liverpool have lost just two of their last 51 encounters in all competitions, they will be confident of overcoming West Ham this weekend.

That said, West Ham have upped their game in recent weeks after going through something of a sticky patch.

The Hammers suffered four losses in seven Premier League games across December and January but have since enhanced their top-four hopes with a series of positive results.

In fact, David Moyes’ side come into this clash on a four-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League – having claimed two wins and two draws since their last loss.

West Ham bowed out of the FA Cup on Wednesday, though, losing 3-1 to fellow Premier League side Southampton.

Head-to-head: Back in November, West Ham claimed a memorable 3-2 victory over Liverpool at the London Stadium. However, that was their first win against the Reds in 13 attempts.

That means Liverpool have lost just one of their previous 13 matches against West Ham, picking up eight wins along the way.

Team news: Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino is sidelined through injury. Midfielders Thiago Alcantara and Curtis Jones are also doubts for Saturday’s game.

West Ham’s extensive injury list includes Arthur Masuaku, Angelo Ogbonna, Ryan Fredericks and Vladimir Coufal – among others.

Although the Hammers are fighting to secure Champions League football for next season, they will struggle to end Liverpool’s winning streak on Saturday.

Forebet predicts that Liverpool will score over 2.5 goals on their way to dispatching West Ham at Anfield.
