Marseille to secure the points at Troyes

The French Ligue 1 action continues on Sunday and features this upcoming clash between Troyes and Marseille at the Stade de l'Aube with the hosts looking to avoid a fourth defeat in five games in the domestic top flight.
Troyes have dropped down to 17th place on the Ligue 1 ladder and are worryingly level on points with all of the bottom three clubs as the relegation dogfight becomes increasingly more tense and tight.
Three defeats out of their last four matches overall have seen Troyes suffer losses against Angers, Brest and Rennes.

Marseille were handed a 2-0 defeat at home to Clermont in last weekend’s Ligue 1 clash at their Stade Orange Vélodrome so the visitors will be eager to bounce back with a win on Sunday afternoon as they look to hold onto their current 2nd place spot in the domestic top flight.
Results overall have been fairly consistent where Marseille have been concerned as the visitors have lost just three of their last 17 matches overall in the French top flight which were losses against Brest, Lyon and Clermont but Marseille have also picked up nine wins in the process as well.
Within these nine wins, Marseille have also registered six wins on their travels as well with victories gained at Clermont, Nantes, Strasbourg, Bordeaux, Lens and Metz while losing just once in their last eight games on the road.
It’s this type of form on the road that has helped Marseille emerge as serious contenders for a possible top two finish in Ligue 1 which also carries the financially lucrative reward of a place in next season’s Champions League, and the visitors look the more likely to carve out the win here.
Marseille have won five out of the last six meetings against Troyes and the visitors look set to continue this trend on Sunday.
