Levante host Elche in La Liga six-point clash

On Friday night, Elche visit the Ciutat de Valencia to face off with Levante in a massive six-point clash. Elche are 13th in the league and only recently found form to move away from the relegation zone.

The reverse fixture between these teams finished 1-1. Elche’s Lucas Perez opened the scoring in the 33rd minute but Levante’s Jose Luis Morales levelled the game just before the hour-mark.
Levante are on a two-match losing streak at the Ciutat de Valencia. They have a record of 1W-6D-5L at home this season. Elche won just one of their last six games in La Liga on the road. They have an away record of 2W-3D-8L this term.
Elche manager Rodriguez has three players on the injury list going into the game this week. Midfielder John Donald has a sprained ankle and is ruled out of the fixture. Defender Helibelton Palacios has a hamstring injury which will keep him out. Lucas Boye is a doubt with a muscle issue.
Lisci has five names on the Levante injury list. Defenders Nemanja Radoja and Ruben Vezo are both doubts to play. Midfielder Jose Campana could return to the team following a hamstring injury. Defenders Sergio Postigo and Shkodran Mustafi are both in line to return to the squad.
Levante and Elche drew 1-1 earlier this season. With both sides improving in recent weeks, Friday night’s clash at the Ciutat de Valencia should finish in another score draw with under 2.5 goals.
