Another Defeat Expected for La Liga’s Bottom-Placed Levante Against Real Betis

One of Europe’s most struggling sides of the 2021/22 campaign will be looking for just their second win of the league season as Levante play hosts to top three-chasing Real Betis at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia.

Only the likes of Burnley in the Premier League, Greuther Furth in the Bundesliga, and Serie A’s Salernitana can boast equal or worse form in the league season this campaign, while every single one of these clubs have at least managed to win more games than Levante, besides Burnley, who on the other hand, have even played two less games.

Just that one victory for Levante leaves them rooted to the bottom of the La Liga table and with close to no hope that the club will be able to get off the foot of the division following damning defeats to fellow relegation fighters, Cadiz and Getafe.

In this period, Levante conceded five times and didn't score a single goal as they were pushed back to being an almighty 12 points from safety.

Such a standing and form all but guarantees relegation for the side unless a miracle comes their way.

However, the club did manage to get their first win of the season before these torrid displays in must-win games, as they edged past Mallorca 2-0 thanks to goals from Roberto Soldado and Jose Luis Morales.

It should have been the time that Alessio Lisci’s men kicked on and were able to begin to at least put up a fight for safety in Spain’s top flight.

Nevertheless, that didn’t happen and the club look unlikely to get another win any time soon with the fixtures that are over the horizon.

As for Betis, it’s been one of their best ever seasons in La Liga as they are looking for a record number of points this century, while also aiming to finish in the top three for the first time since 1997.

The club have dropped down to the second tier, fought for the top four, and battled relegation all within these past 25 years, but this could go down as their best campaign since winning the title back in the 1930s.

Times have been made that much sweeter for Real Betis recently as well, following their 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano in the Copa del Rey semi-finals, which now puts one foot in the final ahead of the second leg.

Just prior to this, however, Hector Bellerin and co. slipped up in the league following a 2-0 loss to Villarreal.

Forebet predicts another win for them here and a game that sees under 2.5 goals.
