Granada’s Wait for a Win in 2022 to Continue as Real Sociedad Ease to Victory
Real Sociedad vs Granada CF - 13/02/2022

Real Sociedad will look to break back into the top six and reclaim a European spot this weekend as they welcome Granada to the Reale Arena just as the away side look to get their first win of 2022 on the board.
It has been a tough few weeks for Granada who have seen themselves slip gradually closer to the relegation zone after what seemed like a period of them being able to establish themselves as a threat to the top 10.
However, following a winless start to 2022, the club have now lost three in a row to Real Madrid, Osasuna, and Granada and scored only two goals along the way and conceded an alarming seven games in this time too.
A commendable 1-1 draw with Barcelona would also come during this time as they also played out a goalless draw with Elche, however, all of it now means they sit 16th in the table after being so close to the top 10 not too long ago.
Ironically enough, however, the month of December was a stunning one for Granada as they beat Deportivo Alaves earlier on in the month and then drew with Cadiz after hammering CD Laguna 7-0 in the Copa del Rey.
However, it was the stunning wins over Mallorca and Atletico Madrid that really started to put the pieces together for Granada, as they managed to beat the champions 2-1 and Mallorca 4-1, as Jorge Molina bagged a hat-trick against the relegation-fighting side, while he also scored the winner against Atletico.
With them now sitting 16th though following a torrid 2022 so far, each game is vital for them now as they go in search of making the current six-point gap on the relegation zone an even bigger one.
Doing so against Real Sociedad, however, seems a bit of a stretch given their impressive year so far.
The club have slipped up a bit in recent weeks following what was a seemingly comfortable position in the top four, as the club have now won only once in the league since the beginning of November
Losses to the likes of Espanyol and Villarreal came against the odds, while they were even thrashed 4-0 by Real Betis back in December in the league, only to lose by the exact same scoreline to them again in the Copa del Rey just last week.
Sociedad’s seventh-placed position is still positive though, and Forebet predicts a win for them here in a game that sees under 2.5 goals.
