Venezia are in the precarious position of 17th place in the Serie A table, just a point above the relegation zone after a poor recent run of league form.
Paolo Zanetti’s team are winless in their previous nine Serie A games, having picked up just three draws and suffered six defeats in the process.
Conceding too many goals has been Venezia’s trouble of late, as they have conceded at least two goals in six of their previous nine league matches.
A poor home record in Serie A has not helped Zanetti’s team either, as they have failed to win in their last six league outings at the Stadio Pierluigi Penzo.
