Elche are on a good run of form in La Liga with each of their last four games finishing without a defeat. The Green Striped Ones are five points above the relegation zone and could take a major step toward La Liga survival with a win over Alaves on Saturday.

Alaves are 19th in La Liga with three points separating them from relegation safety. Deportivo are nine matches in all competitions without a win. Even changing managers hasn’t helped Alaves in their bid to collecting enough points to remain in La Liga.

Deportivo are at the bottom of the current La Liga form table with a mere two points from the last 18 points available to them. They scored a mere three goals and conceded 13 times across their last six fixtures in the division.

Elche are unbeaten in four straight La Liga fixtures. The Green Striped Ones picked up eight points from their last 18 points available. Elche’s form over their last six games has been better than La Liga heavyweights Atletico Madrid and Valencia.

Despite being in better form, Elche lost 1-0 to Alaves away from home in the reverse fixture. Alaves won thanks to a 47th minute goal from Mamadou Loum Ndiaye. Elche kept 62% of the game’s possession but still fell to defeat.

Elche will be confident of winning at home on Saturday thanks to their excellent recent form at the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero. The Green Striped Ones are unbeaten in three straight home matches.

Overall, Elche have recorded 14 points from 30 at home in 2021-22. Over half of the team’s points in La Liga have come from home games.

Alaves are on a four-game losing streak on the road in 2021-22. Just one of the team’s away games this season finished as a victory.

Deportivo have conceded 21 times on their travels. Alaves have conceded La Liga’s third-most goals with 35. They have also scored the league’s fewest goals with 16.

Elche are –7 in goals scored this season. They have scored 23 times and allowed 30 to opponents. Twice in Elche’s last four games in La Liga, they kept a clean sheet.

Alaves have just one player on the injury list ahead of Saturday’s game. Ximo Navarro is ruled out with an ACL injury. Four players could miss out for Elche as Ivan Marcone, Tete Morente, Pedro Bigas, and Enzo Roco are all suffering from injury issues.

Elche have found form and they should claim another La Liga win on Saturday at home versus struggling Alaves. A win could take Elche as high as 12th in the La Liga standings with results going their way elsewhere. Expect under 1.5 goals as Elche win 1-0 against Alaves.
