Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur return to Premier League action on Wednesday after both sides sat out the weekend’s activity due to postponements.

The Foxes find themselves tenth in the table. It is worth noting, however, that Brenden Rodgers’ side have four games in hand over some of their rivals.

Meanwhile, Tottenham sit sixth – eight points ahead of Leicester. They have also played just 18 games this season.

Each of Leicester’s past three Premier League games have been postponed, meaning they haven’t played a league game since December 28.

They also had two postponements before Christmas. That means they have only managed to fulfil two of their previous seven Premier League clashes.

The Foxes last played on January 8 and secured a comfortable 4-1 victory over struggling Watford in the FA Cup.

Across all competitions, Brendan Rodgers’ side have lost just two of their last eight encounters inside 90 minutes – losing to Liverpool on penalties in the EFL Cup.

Given how little football Leicester have played recently, it is difficult to predict exactly how they will fare on Wednesday.

That said, Tottenham have also suffered multiple postponements of late – missing three of their past nine Premier League games.

In fairness to Spurs, though, they have still managed to pick up positive results along the way, despite all the uncertainty.

Antonio Conte’s men are currently enjoying an eight-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League, having claimed five wins and three draws since their last loss.

It is also worth noting that Tottenham have kept a clean sheet in five of their last eight Premier League encounters.

Head-to-head: Leicester have only managed to win three of their past ten Premier League meetings with Tottenham.

Spurs have won six of their previous nine league matches against the Foxes, scoring over 2.5 goals on five occasions during that period.

Team news: Leicester are without multiple players through injury, Covid, and AFCON. Jamie Vardy, Jonny Evans, Wilfried Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho are among the notable absentees.

Tottenham will be without the injured Son Heung-min on Wednesday. Cristian Romero, Steven Bergwijn, Sergio Reguilon and Eric Dier are also doubts.

Given that Tottenham are currently enjoying an eight-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League, the visitors are expected to come out on top on Wednesday.

Forebet predicts that both teams will score at the King Power Stadium. However, Spurs should come away with all three points.
