Tunisia and Mali to Kick Off Group F With a Draw
4721

Tunisia and Mali will battle it out in Group F of the Africa Cup of Nations as we witness one of the closest groups in the tournament with not much expected to separate the Gambia, Mali, Tunisia, and Mauritania.

The two clashing here are expected to fight for the top two in this group and the winner of this clash may indeed end up finishing first come to the end as the other two sides are not predicted to put up as much of a fight.

Tunisia are a great threat at the moment for any side they come up against as they boast a fantastic mix of young talent and experienced heads in their side.

Much of the attention will be on Hannibal Mejbri of Manchester United as the 18-year-old entered the AFCON as one of the most talked about youngsters

The United youth star is continuing to impress in the ranks with the Premier League side and it does seem as if he’s now become an integral part of his national setup after switching allegiance from France. He will be relied upon for creativity throughout this AFCON.

Omar Rekik is another young Premier League talent on show as the Arsenal man entered this competition at 20 years old and with one cap to his name, and he is expected to get some game time here with the likes of Dylan Bronn and Ali Maaloul.

Up top for Tunisia is where the action is at, however, as Wahbi Khazri heads to Cameroon with 22 goals in 65 caps for his nation and as their active top scorer by some distance.

They've also been in topsy-turvy form the past few months heading into the AFCON, as they lost to Algeria and Syria in December in the FIFA Arab Cup, however, that match with Algeria was the final.

As for Mali, they boast one of the more underrated sides in the competition with Moussa Djenepo of Southampton, Amadou Haidara of RB Leipzig, and Mohamed Camara of RB Salzburg making up a decent midfield, just as Ibrahima Koné's eight goals in six caps leads the line.

It will be a close game with both sides expected to fight it out for top spot, and Forebet predicts yet another draw in the Africa Cup of Nations following a record-breaking amount of draws to start this year’s competition.

Forebet also predicts the game to see under 2.5 goals
