Inter Milan welcome Lazio to the San Siro on Sunday as the Serie A action continues following a chaotic round of midweek fixtures.

Despite having their previous game postponed, Inter remain at the Serie A summit – one point clear of second-place AC Milan.

Elsewhere, Lazio find themselves down in eighth place – six points outside the top four and 14 points shy of high-flying Inter.

Inter head into Sunday’s clash on a seemingly unstoppable seven-game winning streak, having seen off heavy hitters such as Napoli and Roma in that time.

Remarkably, Simone Inzaghi’s side have lost just one of their 19 Serie A matches this season – picking up 14 wins and four draws along the way.

With a whopping 49 goals to their name, Inter at the top scorers in Serie A. They also boast one of the vest defensive records, having conceded just 15 times.

Inzaghi’s men have kept a clean sheet in each of their last six league outings, scoring 17 goals along the way.

It is also worth noting that Inter have kept eight clean sheets in their previous ten Serie A encounters, emphasizing their defensive solidity.

On the flip side, Lazio come into this one on the back of a dramatic 3-3 draw with Empoli – despite seeing 63% possession while racking 23 shots.

The Eagles came back from 2-0 down to level the score before conceding again, with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic netting a 93th-minute equaliser.

That draw means that Lazio have avoided defeat in each of their past three Serie A games, having beaten Genoa and Venezia before the winter break.

Nonetheless, a record of nine wins, five draws and six losses underlines the team’s inconsistency this season.

Head-to-head: Lazio have already beaten Inter this season. Back in October, the Eagles claimed a 3-1 home victory over the league leaders.

Across the past eight meetings between the teams, both sides have claimed three wins. The other two matches ended in a draw.

Team news: Inter goalkeeper Gabirel Brazao is injured, while Edin Dzeko and Martin Satriano could miss Sunday’s clash after testing positive for COVID-19.

As for Lazio, they will be without centre-back Francesco Acerbi this weekend as he continues to recover from a hamstring issue.

Inter are the top scorers in Serie A, while Lazio are the third-highest scorers. That means we should see plenty of goals when these two sides meet on Sunday.

Forebet predicts that over 4.5 goals will be scored at the San Siro. In term of the result, Inter should be too strong for Lazio.
