Ralf Rangnick will be in the Old Trafford dugout for the first time when Manchester United host Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Red Devils find themselves seventh in the table – three points outside the top four – after claiming a thrilling 3-2 victory over Arsenal on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Eagles sit eleventh – five points shy of United – having failed to win any of their previous three Premier League games.

As for Man Utd, they are now unbeaten in three outings across all competitions following a Champions League win over Villarreal and a draw with Chelsea.

Last time out, Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a brace as the Red Devils came from behind to seal a crazy 3-2 win over the Gunners at Old Trafford.

Despite seeing just 44% possession, the hosts racked up 14 shots – ten of which were on target. Bruno Fernandes scored their first before CR7 netted a double.

When you look at the bigger picture, however, United have only managed to win one of their last four Premier League games – and two of their previous nine.

It goes without saying that Rangnick will need to turn things around quickly if the Red Devils want to secure a top-four finish come the end of the season.

On the flip side, Crystal Palace suffered a last-gasp defeat in their previous game – losing 1-0 to Leeds United on Tuesday.

The Eagles only managed 38% possession and recorded just a single shot on target at Elland Road. In the 94th minute, they conceded the only goal of the game.

Although Palace have won only three of their 14 Premier League games this season, they have suffered just four defeats.

Patrick Vieira’s side have registered a whopping seven draws this term. Needless to say, they will be eager to start turning draws into wins.

Conor Gallagher has been the star of the show for Palace this season. The Chelsea loanee has bagged four goals and three assists in 14 Premier League outings.

Head-to-head: Man Utd have only managed to win one of their previous four Premier League meetings with Palace, recording one draw and two losses along the way.

That said, it is worth pointing out that Man Utd have only lost two of their past 17 encounters with the Eagles across all competitions.

Team news: Man Utd will be without injured quartet Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani, Raphael Varane and Luke Shaw for the visit of Palace.

As for the Eagles, they currently have James McArthur, Joachim Andersen and Nathan Ferguson sidelined through injury.

Fresh from claiming a thrilling win over Arsenal, Man Utd will be confident of seeing off Crystal Palace on Sunday.

With that in mind, Forebet predicts that United will score over 1.5 goals on their way to dispatching the Eagles.
