PSG to continue momentum against Nice

PSG will be seeking to record a fifth league win on the trot in Ligue 1 when they play host to Nice at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night as the hosts look to open up an even wider gap at the top of the division.

PSG have won their last four matches on the trot in the domestic top flight and these recent wins against Lille, Bordeaux, Nantes and Saint-Etienne have helped the hosts to a healthy 12-point cushion over 2nd placed Rennes at the top of Ligue 1.

Indeed, PSG have been in impressive form of late as the hosts are unbeaten in their last six matches overall, winning five of these games and they’ll certainly be in confident mood and fancy their chances of grabbing another three points when Nice come to town tomorrow night.

PSG have suffered just the one defeat so far in what has been an impressive Ligue 1 campaign to date as the Paris club have also notched a total of 13 wins in their 15 games to date this term, while on home soil, the hosts have been simply unstoppable as they possess a 100% winning record.

The hosts will be without Neymar, Verrati and Icardi for this clash.

Onto Nice and the visitors sit in 3rd spot but find themselves a massive 14 points behind their hosts following two defeats out of their last three matches which has resulted in Nice losing ground on PSG.

Losses to Montpellier and Metz, both of which were on home turf at their Allianz Riviera, have pegged Nice back and although they’ve picked up recent wins against Lyon, Angers and Clermont, it’s becoming increasingly evident that Nice will probably have to settle for a top five finish this season.

Nice have impressed on their travels though so far this season as the visitors have won five of their seven away games to date this term, picking up wins on the road at Lille, Nantes, Saint-Etienne, Angers and Clermont but their recent record against PSG in previous exchanges have seen Nice come off second-best.

PSG have won the last three meetings on the trot while the bigger picture shows that the Paris-based outfit are unbeaten in each of the last seven meetings against Nice and the hosts look set for further success here as well.
