Juventus to Return to Winning Ways and Heap More Misery on Salernitana

U.S. Salernitana will welcome Juventus to the Arechi Stadium this weekend as the bottom-placed side look to leap out of the relegation zone just as the Old Lady aim to narrow the gap on the top four.

Juventus have had an absolutely torrid time under Max Allegri, much of which has been a great surprise. The Italian won six of the last decade’s Serie A titles (five with Juventus), and it was expected that he would patch up the woes left behind by Andrea Pirlo and get them back within title contention.

However, it’s been anything but that. The 54-year-old has not got going one bit and following the 4-0 thrashing from Chelsea in the Champions League and the home loss to Atalanta last week, there are now several arguments for him to be sacked and if it wasn’t for a lack of managers on the scene right now, he may just well have been already.

This puts the Italian giants in seventh position in the table and the loss to Atalanta has all but ended their hopes of a title race as they now sit a dramatic 14 points behind with only 14 games played.

At the same time, Juventus have created a six-point gap on the Bergamo side after defeat. It now leaves them with five losses and six wins after 14 fixtures - it’s the worst-ever start to an Allegri campaign at Juventus.

Perhaps more worryingly for the 36-time champions is their goals record as well, as they've scored just one more than local rivals Torino who are in 13th, while their 18 goals scored puts Juventus even behind relegation-fighting sides like Sampdoria.

As for Salernitana, the club are now winless in their past four games and have scored just once in this time. These defeats did come against sides like Napoli and Lazio, however, meaning they weren't exactly expected to pull up trees in these clashes.

Nevertheless, a draw with Cagliari last time out not long after losing to fellow bottom half side, Sampdoria, all points towards the sign that perhaps Salernitana just can't cut it in the Serie A.

The club have now lost 10 games inside the Italian top flight already, meaning points have only been obtained in four games thus far and none of this bodes well against Juventus, despite their torrid form. Now, Forebet predicts another defeat for the home outfit and for Allegri’s men to return to winning ways.

Forebet also expects the game to end with under 2.5 goals.
