West Ham are in third place in the English Premier League and a mere three points off of first-place Chelsea going into Saturday’s trip to Molineux to play eighth-place Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Hammers defeated Liverpool 3-2 home on matchday 11. David Moyes is shooting for a fifth straight win in the Premier League this weekend and to solidify the team’s place in the Premier League top four.

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ five-match unbeaten streak ended against Crystal Palace on matchday 12. Bruno Lages team lost 2-0, but the good news is that after a slow start to the season , Wolverhampton Wanderers are five points off of the top five.

Last season, West Ham dominated their two matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Hammers picked up two victories by a combined score of 7-2.

Since the 2018-19 season, Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham have met three times at Molineux. Wolves won two of those three games.

West Ham sit at the top of the Premier League’s current form table. The Hammers took 15 points from the last 18 available in the division. The London team outscored opponents 12-6 in those six fixtures.

The Hammers have won four straight matches in the league. Those victories came against Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, and Everton.

Wolves obtained 13 points from the last 18 available in the Premier League. The Old Gold’s 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on matchday 12 ended a five-match unbeaten streak.

Lage has a few long-term injured players that will remain sidelined for this weekend’s clash with West Ham. Full-back Jonny Otto is rehabbing a serious knee injury and forward Pedro Neto is recovering from a knee issue as well.

Yerson Mosquera has a thigh problem which will keep him out of the game. Hugo Bueno is ruled out of the fixture with a hamstring strain. Defender Fernando Marcal is a doubt to play following a calf injury.

Moyes has a hectic schedule upcoming with West Ham. The team are competing on three fronts in the league, EFL Cup, Europa League. Fatigue could play a part in the second half of the campaign. For now, Moyes will play his strongest squads.

Midfielder Declan Rice has been upgraded this week to likely starting the game. Angelo Ogbonna and Pablo Fornals are also expected to be fit to play.

West Ham should continue their excellent form with a win at Molineux. Both teams should score and over 2.5 goals should be tallied in this one.
