Brazil to Secure a Ticket to Qatar 2022 on Friday by Beating Colombia
2151

Brazil and Colombia will clash on Friday for what is a crucial clash for both sides in this CONMEBOL group stage game for qualification at the World Cup in Qatar next year as the table is still yet to take complete shape.

The five-time world champions Brazil, as per the usual, are top of the group and have had no problems in attempting to secure a place at Qatar 2022, and they can book their plane ticket to Asia next year with a win over Colombia.

Neymar and co. currently sit on 31 points after 11 games and besides a 0-0 with Colombia, Brazil have been utterly faultless in this group stages and won every other game outside of that draw.

More impressively for Tite’s side is just how many goals they have scored too.

In fact, with 26 goals smashed home for the world famous Brazil, this is 10 goals more than Colombia and better yet, if you take the bottom three of Peru, Paraguay and Venezuela’s goals together (27), this would only be one more than Brazil’s tally.

On the defensive front, the five-time World Cup winners have let in just four goals from these 11 fixtures so far. Only Venezuela, Peru and Uruguay have managed to score against them, meaning no team inside the top four automatic qualification spots has managed to get past them.

As for Colombia, it’s been a hit and miss qualification campaign for them, as they have had to work their way back into the automatic qualification spots a few times and they now sit on the edge of third by just a point.

At the same time, however, Uruguay are right behind them on the same amount of points and are simply behind them on goal difference.

So, should Brazil triumph here and Uruguay defeat Argentina, Colombia would face an almighty task in the final few games to resume their qualification guarantee.

Nevertheless, their fate is still in their hands and with 16 goals scored and 16 conceded, this just about sums up their campaign so far that has been littered with inconsistencies.

With this in mind, Forebet are backing a home win here as they have simply been unstoppable in their pursuit at making it to another record-breaking finals.

At the same time, Brazil’s 26 goals scored against Colombia’s 16 conceded doesn’t make for pretty reading for any Colombia hopeful.

Forebet are also predicting the game to see under 2.5 goals with Brazil able to take their foot off the gas slightly.
