The French Ligue 1 action continues on Saturday night and features the clash between Bordeaux and PSG at the Stade Matmut-Atlantique with Bordeaux looking to extend their unbeaten run in the domestic top flight to four matches overall.

Recent 1-1 draws with Nantes and Lorient respectively have been boosted by a 3-2 home win against Reims and has helped lift Bordeaux away from the early relegation zone in Ligue 1 with the hosts now sitting in 16th place and three points clear of third from bottom club, Brest.

Earlier in the season, Bordeaux had made a poor start to the proceedings as the hosts had failed to win any of their opening five games of the new term which included three defeats and just two draws as Bordeaux slipped to defeats against Clermont, Nice and Lens.

However, Bordeaux have made a better fist of things from mid-September onwards as the hosts have lost just one of their subsequent seven matches overall.

With just one win from their six home games to date, the goals market looks the best option here as four of Bordeaux’s six home games have resulted in under 2.5 goals.

Onto PSG and the visitors already possess a commanding eight-point cushion at the top of Ligue 1 over 2nd placed Nice heading into this weekend’s action in the domestic top flight and still remain unbeaten in the Champions League as well.

Indeed, PSG have lost just twice to date this season in all competitions with rare defeats against Lille at the start of the season, losing 1-0 in the Super Cup and a surprise 2-0 loss away from home at Rennes in Ligue 1.

Aside from those two slip-ups, PSG have produced far more consistent results this season under manager, Mauricio Pochettino, particularly in Ligue 1 as the Paris club have won 10 of their 12 matches so far in this campaign.

PSG have lost just one of their five away games so far this term which was the aforementioned 2-0 loss at Rennes but wins at Troyes, Brest, Reims and Metz have helped maintain PSG’s grip at the top of the domestic top flight.

Three of PSG’s last four away games though have resulted in under 2.5 goals while three of the previous five meetings against Bordeaux have also been low-scoring encounters so goals could be at a premium this Saturday.
