Chelsea tipped to make light work of Burnley
4822

Chelsea will be hoping to maintain their lead at the top of the Premier League table when they welcome struggling Burnley to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Blues find themselves three points clear of second-place Liverpool, having lost just one of their ten league matches this term.

At the opposite end of the standings, Burnley sit eighteenth – three points inside the relegation zone and 18 points behind Chelsea.

Not only have Chelsea lost one of their ten league games this season, but they have also picked up eight wins along the way.

Thomas Tuchel’s men boast the best defensive record in the division, too, having conceded just three goals so far.

The Blues head into Saturday’s clash on the back of a 1-0 away victory over Malmo in the Champions League.

That win means that Chelsea have now won each of their previous seven outings in all competitions, with victories coming in the Premier League, Champions League and EFL Cup.

On the flip side, Burnley have managed to win just one of their ten Premier League games this season – registering four draws and five losses along the way.

Dyche’s men have also managed to net ten goals this term, meaning only three teams in the division have scored fewer goals.

The Clarets ended a five-game winless run last weekend, beating Brentford 3-1 at Turf Moor – despite seeing just 40% possession.

It is worth noting, however, that Burnley have only managed to win four of their previous 25 Premier League outings.

Head-to-head: Chelsea have lost just one of their last 15 Premier League meetings with Burnley, picking up ten wins in the process.

The Blues have won each of their previous four games against Burnley, scoring 12 goals while keeping three clean sheets along the way.

Team news: Chelsea are currently without Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner and Mateo Kovacic through injury. Tuchel will be hoping that Mason Mount has recovered from illness.

As for Burnley, they only have one injury absentee at the moment, with Dale Stephens still on the sidelines.

With Chelsea flying high in first place and Burnley all the way down in eighteenth, a comfortable win is on the cards for the hosts on Saturday.

Forbet predicts that Chelsea will score over 2.5 goals on their way to victory at Stamford Bridge. However, Burnley could get on the scoresheet, too.
