On Wednesday night, Sampdoria and Atalanta meet at the Luigi Ferrari, as both look for a win to revive their respective Serie A campaigns.
Sampdoria have taken just nine points from as many league games this season in the Italian top-flight.

The Luigi Ferrari has offered Sampdoria little home comfort in recent months, as the victory over Spezia ended a four-game winless run on home soil in the Italian top-flight for I Blucerchiati.
Once again defensive problems have been the foundations of their recent home form, as Samp have conceded at least two goals in three of their last four league games on home soil.
Atalanta have enjoyed some memorable seasons of late in both Serie A and the Champions League. The Nerazzurri have not been quite as consistent of late though, as they head into this game on the back of just one win from their previous four outings in all competitions.
One of the biggest factors in Atalanta’s recent poor results has been a lack of clean sheets, as they failed to keep out their opponents in five matches in Serie A. Their recent defensive generosity has led to four of their last five league games producing over 2.5 goals.
Atalanta have been strong on their travels of late in the Italian top-flight, as they are unbeaten in ten away matches, having recorded eight wins in the process.
