AC Milan to continue Serie A unbeaten streak against Torino

AC Milan moved level with Napoli at the weekend in the Serie A standings thanks to a 4-2 win over Bologna. The Rossoneri took a 2-0 lead but conceded twice before scoring two more goals late to win the fixture.

On Tuesday night, AC Milan face off with Torino at the San Siro with the chance to take firm control of first place. Napoli won’t play until Thursday night, 48 hours after the Rossoneri meet Torino at home.

Il Toro go into the fixture in 12th place in the Serie A standings. Over the weekend, Torino won 3-2 at home against Genoa. The victory ended a four-match winless streak for the Granata.

AC Milan are unbeaten in five straight games against Torino in all competitions. The Rossoneri did the league double over Torino last season by a combined score of 9-0.

Stefano Pioli’s team has taken 12 points from 12 on offer at the San Siro this season, scoring 11 goals and conceding three times. Torino, on the other hand, have taken a mere four points from 12 on the road this term.

Ivan Juric’s team has scored just three goals on the road while conceding four times. Torino’s last two fixtures finished without a win.

Despite AC Milan being in great form, Pioli is struggling with injuries going into matchday 10 of the Serie A season. Samu Castillejo, Ante Rebic, Mike Maignan, and Alessandro Plizzari are all four ruled out of the match due to injury.

Back-up goalkeeper Ciprian Tătăruşanu is playing in place of starting shot-stopper Maignan. AC Milan’s title hopes could rest on Tătăruşanu’s goalkeeping until December when Maignan is due back.

Pioli is waiting on the returns of Franck Kessie, Brahim Diaz, Junior Messias, and Alessandro Florenzi are all fighting for fitness. One or all of the quartet could return for the fixture against Torino.

Juric has four players on the injury list going into the game. Cristian Ansaldi is ruled out of the match with a hamstring injury. Captain Rolando Mandragora is ruled out with a knee injury.

Simone Verdi is a doubt due to a hamstring issue. Marko Pjaca could return following a calf strain while Simone Edera is ruled out with an ACL injury.

AC Milan are in brilliant form in Serie A. This could be their season to win the Scudetto for the first time in a decade. A victory over Torino will put pressure on Napoli, who play on Thursday.

The Rossoneri should claim a fourth straight win to nil against Torino in Serie A. Torino have scored just three times this season on the road and should fail to score once more away from Turin.

AC Milan should score over 2.5 goals and post a clean sheet win on Tuesday night.
