Arsenal expected to continue revival when Crystal Palace visit the Emirates

Arsenal will aim to extend their unbeaten streak to five games when they host Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Monday night.

The Gunners have claimed three wins and a draw in their past four league games and find themselves eleventh in the table as a result.

On the flip side, Crystal Palace sit fourteenth – three points behind Arsenal – having failed to win any of their previous three matches.

Arsenal made a poor start to the 2021-22 campaign, losing all three of their opening games without scoring a single goal.

They swiftly bounced back with three straight wins, however, seeing off Norwich, Burnley and Tottenham.

Mikel Arteta’s men were held to a goalless draw by Brighton just before the international break, extending their unbeaten streak to four games.

Arsenal have been extremely strong on home soil of late, losing just one of their last seven games at the Emirates Stadium.

Yet, having netted a measly five goals in seven matches, the Gunners are the joint-second lowest scorers in the Premier League.

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, have only managed to win one of their opening seven league games this term.

Following a loss and two draws, the Eagles beat Tottenham before suffering another loss and two draws.

It is worth pointing out that each of Palace’s last three away games in the Premier League have produced over 2.5 goals.

In fact, five of the Eagles’ seven Premier League matches have dished up at least three goals this season.

As usual, Wilfried Zaha has been the star of the show – bagging two goals and an assist this term. Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher also has the same record.

Head-to-head: Crystal Palace have failed to beat Arsenal in each of their past four Premier League meetings, recording one loss and three draws in that time.

In fact, the Eagles have only managed to win one of their previous eight games against the Gunners – registering four draws and three defeats along the way.

Team news: Arsenal have one injury absentee at the moment, with Granit Xhaka sidelined with a long-term knee problem.

As for Crystal Palace, they will be without injured duo Eberechi Eze and Nathan Ferguson for the trip to the Emirates.

Although Palace have shown glimpses of promise during the early stages of the season, in-form Arsenal should be too strong for the Eagles on Monday.

For that reason, Forebet predicts that Arsenal will score over 2.5 goals on their way to dispatching Palace.
