Norwich City are still searching for their first Premier League win of the season as they prepare to face in-form Brighton & Hove Albion at Carrow Road on Saturday.

The Canaries are two points adrift at the bottom of the table, having taken just a single point from their opening seven games.

Brighton, meanwhile, have only lost one of their seven league games this term and find themselves sixth – two points behind first-place Chelsea.

Norwich kicked off their campaign with six straight defeats, losing to Liverpool, Manchester City, Leicester, Arsenal, Watford and Everton.

They finally picked up their first league point of the season before the international break, holding Burnley to a goalless draw at Turf Moor.

Not only are Daniel Farke’s men the lowest scorers in the division, but they also have the joint-worst defensive record.

Norwich have won just one of their past ten games in all competitions and have failed to score in each of their previous three.

On the flip side, Brighton have only lost one of their last nine encounters across all competitions – underling their outstanding start to the season.

The Seagulls won four of their first five league games this term, seeing off Burnley, Watford, Brentford and Leicester along the way.

Since then, they have recorded back-to-back draws. After drawing with Crystal Palace, Graham Potter’s side held Arsenal to a goalless draw last time out.

Just two points separate the top six teams in the league, with only Everton, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea above them.

Having conceded just five goals in seven league matches, Brighton boast the second-best defensive record in England’s top tier.

Head-to-head: Brighton did the double over Norwich when they last met during the 2019/20 Premier League season, without conceding a goal.

Norwich have won just two of their past six meetings with Brighton in all competitions, with one team failing to score in each of the previous five.

Team news: Norwich defender Sam Byram is ruled out through injury, while Todd Cantwell, Christoph Zimmermann and Mathias Normann are also doubts.

As for Brighton, they will be without injured trio Danny Welbeck, Steven Alzate and Adam Webster for the trip to Norwich.

Given that Brighton are flying and Norwich are struggling at the moment, an easy home win is on the cards here.

With that in mind, Forbet predicts that Brighton will net over 2.5 goals and keep a clean sheet on their way to claiming all three points on Saturday.
