A Close-Fought Win Expected for Albania Against Hungary in the Tense Group I
Hungary vs Albania - 09/10/2021

Hungary and Albania will meet in the World Cup Qualifiers this Saturday night as the two look to be the second best team in Group I as England ease to the top of table and thus leaving behind the likes of Poland to scrap it out for second.
The Three Lions are seemingly unstoppable in Group I, and with 16 points from six games along with 18 goals scored and two conceded, England will most likely top the group.
Moreover, with Poland meeting with San Marino this weekend too, a winner here between Hungary and Albania could well end up being the difference between a ticket to the 2022 World Cup and a summer on the couch.
The runners-up in each of Europe’s 10 World Cup Qualifiers will all meet in the second round of the qualifying stage where the winners of such round would advance to a semi-finals and finals stage before a final three extra places at the World Cup are then handed out.
Right now, both Hungary and Albania have a decent chance of getting that far with all nations still yet to play each other once more. However, not much separates either side right now as the Hungarians are down in fourth on 10 points, having won three of their six games.
This is a point behind Poland, who will get their prescribed three points against San Marino at the same time, so it’s fair to say this is a must-win for Hungary as they also meet with England in a few days' time.
On the other hand, Albania are holding their own in this group, as they have managed to win four and lose two, putting them on 12 points and the likelist runners-up to England right now, especially if Poland can’t get all six points this international break.
Albania haven’t quite been at the races in front of goal, however, with just the 10 goals from their six games thus far, putting them as the fourth top scorers in this group, with only Andorra and San Marino, of course, scoring less.
With this in mind, plus Hungary’s 10 goals let in across six games, it will be a close one but that superior defensive record for Albania might just be the difference here as Hungary can’t seem to keep the goals out in Group I.
At the same time, their recent 3-3 draw with Poland was evident to the fact they still lack the cutting edge.
Forebet predicts Albania will get a win here, but the closely matched form should see under 2.5 goals.
