Borussia Dortmund’s Goalscoring Brilliance to Continue with a Thrashing Over FC Augsburg

Borussia Dortmund will welcome FC Augsburg to the Signal Iduna Park this Saturday as the Bundesliga heavyweights look to continue their march into the top three while Augsburg look to distance themselves from the relegation zone.

It hasn’t been the best start to the season for BVB and after losing Jadon Sancho, they are seemingly feeling the effects.

At the same time, the club have not exactly settled down well with life under Marco Rose as the German fails to find complete consistency in his new job.

Dortmund have still managed to net 17 goals so far in this Bundesliga campaign, which only the league leaders Bayern Munich can match, as they have smashed home 23 goals from six games.

On the other hand, despite such great goalscoring power in the form of players like Erling Haaland, Dortmund have let in 12 goals so far which is certainly very worrying for Marco Rose and his side.

In fact, nobody inside the top 11 have conceded more and you have to go all the way down to Hertha Berlin in 12th to witness a side who have let in more this campaign.

The Black and Yellow did also lose to Rose’s old side last time out as Borussia Monchengladbach reigned supreme 1-0, however, Dortmund returned to winning ways as Donyell Maylen bagged his first goal for the club in the 1-0 win over Sporting Lisbon

As for Augsburg, their poor start to the season continued last time out as they lost to Freiburg, at a time when it seemed like they may have turned a corner.

In fact, prior to this lacklustre 3-0 defeat, the club only lost one of the last three as they drew with Union Berlin and Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0, while also getting their first win under their belt with three points against Gladbach.

Equally as worryingly as the torrid results so far are Augsburg's rotten performances in front of goal.

Ahead of travelling to Dortmund, they have bagged just two goals in six games which is the worst record inside the Bundesliga. These two finishes came against Gladbach and in a 4-1 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen.

With this in mind, combined with BVB’s poor displays in defence so far, they could get a goal against the home side.

However, Forebet predicts nothing but an easy win for Rose’s side with the goalscoring powers too superior to the struggling Augsburg.

This game should see 2.5 goals and an easy win for Dortmund.
