Legia Warszawa vs Leicester City - 30/09/2021

Leicester City let a Europa League matchday 1 win over Napoli slip through their fingers. The Foxes were up 2-0 late in the game, but conceded twice in the final 21 minutes to draw 2-2.
Now, Brendan Rodgers needs the team to step up and claim maximum points versus Poland’s Legia Warsaw on Europa League matchday 2.
Legia Warsaw claimed a 1-0 win against Spartak Moscow away on matchday 1. The team scored through Lirim Kastrati’s second half stoppage-time winner.
Neither Legia Warsaw nor Leicester City are in great form. The two sides have blown hot and cold this season.
The Polish club are coming off of a weekend loss domestically to Rakow 3-2. Legia Warsaw have posted a record of 10W-2D-5L this season with 26 goals for and 18 against.
Their home form has been relatively consistent with five wins and two losses in seven fixtures. Goals have been conceded at home with seven allowed and 12 scored.
Leicester City go into the game following a 2-2 draw with Burnley in the Premier League. The Foxes’ road form has been poor with just two wins taken from four away matches. Two of those four games ended in losses.
Rodgers’ team has allowed seven goals to opponents on the road while scoring six times in four games. The manager has some big decisions to make around the starting squad.
He has chosen to play with a single striker while playing James Maddison as the team’s creative hub. However, Maddison has been out of form for a long time and hasn’t scored or assisted a goal since last February.
At the weekend against Burnley, fans at the King Power Stadium booed Rodgers for putting Maddison on rather than using strikers Kelechi Iheanacho or Patson Daka.
Just two players are ruled out for Leicester City going into the game. Defenders James Justin and Wesley Fofana are both ruled out with long-term injuries.
Legia Warsaw midfielder Bartosz Kapustka is ruled out of the game with an ACL injury. Goalkeeper Artur Borac is suffering from an injury as well and may not be fit to play the game.
Rodgers is likely to start Jamie Vardy in the Leicester City attack. He has five goals and an assist in eight games in all competitions. Vardy has three goals in his last two Premier League matches and could get on the scoresheet once more.
Leicester City should concede once more in the Europa League, but this time, the Foxes should hang onto a lead to post a Europa League win.
Leicester City should win at full-time with both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals tallied.
