Manchester United host Aston Vill at Old Trafford on Saturday, aiming to maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League season.

The Red Devils currently sit third in the table – level with Chelsea and Liverpool on 13 points – having claimed four wins and a draw.

Aston Villa, meanwhile, find themselves in tenth place – six points shy of Man Utd – after recording two wins, one draw and two losses.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men beat Leeds 5-1 on Matchday 1 before drawing 1-1 with Southampton the following weekend.

Since then, however, they have secured three straight wins in the Premier League – dispatching Wolves, Newcastle and West Ham.

With 13 goals to their name already (2.6 goals per game), the Red Devils are the highest scorers in the Premier League.

They have also conceded just four goals in the process, meaning they boast one of the best defensive records in the division.

Despite seeing 61% of the ball and racking up 27 shots on Wednesday, Man Utd were beaten 1-0 by West Ham in the Carabao Cup.

Aston Villa, on the other hand, have enjoyed an indifferent start to the season but still find themselves in the top half of the table.

Following a loss to Watford on the opening weekend, Dean Smith’s side have only lost one of their previous four league matches.

Villa have secured clean-sheet victories over Newcastle and Everton, underlining their defensive solidity.

It is also worth pointing out that each of Villa’s previous seven away games in all competitions have produced over 2.5 goals.

Head-to-head: Aston Villa haven’t beaten Man Utd since all the way back in 2009. Since then, Man Utd have notched 14 wins and four draws in this fixture.

United are also enjoying a three-match winning streak against Villa and have scored over 2.5 goals in two of their previous three meetings.

Team news: Man Utd are still without injured duo Marcus Rashford and Amad Diallo, while Edinson Cavani and Alex Telles are also doubts.

Aston Villa could be without as many as eight first-team players this weekend, with Trezeguet, Matt Target, Leon Bailey and John McGinn among the doubts.

Not only are Man Utd unbeaten in the Premier League this term, but they also boast a hugely impressive record against Villa.

With that in mind, Forebet predicts that Man Utd will maintain their unbeaten record by netting over 1.5 goals on their way to victory on Saturday.
