Lazio are winless in three straight matches in all competitions. On Thursday night, the Biancocelesti aim to stop the rot away from home against Torino.

Torino go into matchday 5 in midtable with six points from 12 possible. Coach Ivan Juric’s team has done well to start the campaign after spending the last two seasons fighting relegation.

Il Toro are on a two-game winning streak after losing back-to-back games to open the campaign. Juric’s team posted wins to nil against Salernitana and Sassuolo. Torino won those matches by a combined score of 5-0.

Lazio are eighth in the Serie A standings with seven points from 12 possible. Maurizio Sarri’s team have outscored opponents 11-6 in Serie A, but have failed to win back-to-back games against AC Milan and Cagliari.

Last weekend’s match against Cagliari finished 2-2 and Sarri missed the game after being suspended for being sent off during the Milan game. Sarri will not be allowed on the touchline for the game on Thursday night in Turin.

Lazio are unbeaten in 14 of their last 16 games against Torino in all competitions. Torino have not defeated Lazio since the 2018-19 Serie A season. Since then, Lazio have posted a record of 3W-1D-0L versus Il Toro.

Last season, Lazio won in Turin in a wild 4-3 game. The reverse fixture in Rome ended nil-nil. Ciro Immobile has been in brilliant form for Lazio this season scoring five goals in four games. He averages a goal every 83.5 minutes in Serie A.

Just one player is set to miss the game for Lazio due to injury. Forward Bobby Adekayne is set to miss the match with a knee injury.

Torino coach Juric has several injuries to contend with ahead of matchday 5. Defender Armando Izzo is ruled out with a calf injury. Midfielder Dennis Praet is out of action with a hamstring strain, while forward Simone Edera is out with an ACL injury.

Juric could have Simone Zaza, Simone Verdi, and Andrea Belotti are all three in line to make returns from injury. Torino have scored seven goals in Serie A this season with seven different players sharing the goals.

Lazio are struggling currently in all competitions, but have a great head-to-head record against Torino. Thursday night’s game could finish in a positive result for Lazio. However, the Biancocelesti may only get a draw at full-time away in Turin.

Both teams are scoring goals and this game is likely to finish in a score draw with over 2.5 goals scored. Four of the last five games between these sides ended with over 2.5 goals scored.
