Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea wrap up Matchday 5 of the 2021/22 Premier League season as the London rivals go head-to-head in Sunday’s late kick-off.

Just one point separates the two sides in the table, with second-place Chelsea leading seventh-place Tottenham.

Spurs enjoyed a phenomenal start to the campaign, recording three consecutive 1-0 victories under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

Tottenham dispatched Manchester City, Wolves and Watford without conceding a single goal, although they were totally outclassed by Crystal Palace last weekend.

Nuno’s men managed just a single attempt on target at Selhurst Park, with the Eagles claiming a hefty 3-0 victory.

Still, Spurs have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three home games and have only lost one of their previous seven home matches in all competitions.

Tottenham took the lead and then came from behind the rescue a 2-2 draw with Rennes in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.

Despite enjoying 59% possession and chalking up ten shots, Nuno’s men were unable to open their European account with a win.

Chelsea, on the other hand, extended their unbeaten start to the season with a hard-fought victory over Zenit in the Champions League in midweek.

Romelu Lukaku netted the only goal of the game against the Russian champions, meaning he now has four goals in four games since returning to Stamford Bridge.

In the Premier League, the Blues have claimed three wins and one draw this term – sealing clean-sheet wins over Palace, Arsenal and Aston Villa.

Thomas Tuchel’s men are now enjoying a six-match unbeaten streak in all competitions and are set for another successful campaign.

Head-to-head: Tottenham have failed to beat Chelsea in any of their previous seven meetings in all competitions.

It is also worth noting that Chelsea have only lost seven of their last 42 matches against Spurs in the Premier League.

Team news: Japhet Tangana is suspend for Spurs following his red card against Palace, while Son Heung-min is currently sidelined through injury.

Chelsea have USA forward Christian Pulisic on the treatment table, although French midfielder N’Golo Kante is close to returning to full fitness.

When you couple Tottenham’s dismal performance against Palace with their poor record against Chelsea, all the signs point towards an away win on Sunday.

Forebet predicts that Chelsea will keep yet another clean sheet on their way to beating Spurs in their own backyard.
