Unbeaten Everton welcome winless Burnley to Goodison Park on Monday night, wrapping up Matchday 4 of the 2021/22 Premier League season.

Burnley make the short trip to Merseyside in sixteenth place, having taken just a single point from a possible nine so far.

Everton, on the other hand, have picked up two wins and a draw from their opening three matches and find themselves sixth in the table as a result.

Eyebrows were raised when the Toffees appointed former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez, but it’s safe to say the Spaniard has hit the ground running.

Following a 3-1 victory over Southampton, Everton drew 2-2 with Leeds United before beating Brighton 2-0 last time out.

Thanks to their recent high-scoring wins, Everton have netted over 1.5 goals in each of their previous four matches.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored three goals in three appearances this term, while new signing Demarai Gray has netted two goals since arriving from Bayer Leverkusen.

Andros Townsend, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Alex Iwobi and Richarlison have all bagged one goal and one assist, too.

As for Burnley, they would have been desperate to put the previous campaign behind them. Unfortunately, they have picked up where the left off last season.

Following a dismal end to last term, Burnley have only managed to win four of their previous 24 Premier League games.

Worse still, Sean Dyche’s men have also failed to score in each of their last three away matches in the Premier League.

After losing 2-1 to Brighton on the opening weekend, Burnley suffered a 2-0 loss to Liverpool before drawing 1-1 with Leeds last time out.

With Everton in such good form, Dyche’s side could struggle to pick up their first win of the season on Monday.

Head-to-head: Burnley avoided defeat against Everton last season, drawing 1-1 at Turf Moor before winning 2-1 at Goodison Park.

That said, Everton have only lost two of their last six meetings with Burnley – picking up three wins and one draw in that time.

Team news: Injured duo Fabian Delph and Yerry Mina will miss out for Everton on Monday. Elsewhere, James Rodriguez seems to have been frozen out.

Burnley also have two injury absentees at the moment, with Dale Stephens and Kevin Long on the sidelines.

Having made an impressive start to the campaign, Everton look set to extend their unbeaten start to the season on Monday.

Forebet predicts that both teams will score at Goodison Park. However, Everton are expected to come out on top.
