Tottenham likely to maintain positive start under Nuno with win over Watford

Tottenham Hotspur have the chance to record three straight Premier League wins when they welcome newly-promoted Watford to North London on Sunday afternoon.
Nuno Espirito Santo is enjoying a positive start to life as Spurs boss – and the news that star man Harry Kane is staying at the club will only make things better.
Tottenham kicked off the 2021/22 campaign with a hugely impressive 1-0 victory over defending champions Manchester City.
Nuno then named a second-string XI for a Europa Conference League qualifier, suffering a 1-0 loss to Portuguese side Pacos de Ferreira.
Spurs bounced back last weekend, however, as Nuno got the better of former club Wolves at Molineux Stadium.
Despite seeing 42% possession and facing 25 shots, Tottenham came away with a 1-0 win thanks to Dele Alli’s early penalty.

They were able to return to winning ways in midweek, though, beating Crystal Palace 1-0 in the second round of the EFL Cup.
When you look at the bigger picture, Watford have only lost three of their previous 16 matches in all competitions.
Head-to-head: Tottenham and Watford produced two draws in the 2019/20 Premier League campaign, drawing 1-1 in London and 0-0 in Watford.
Remarkably, Watford have only managed to win one of their last 15 meetings with Tottenham in all competitions.
Team news: The big team news surrounding Tottenham is the return of Harry Kane, who has pledged his future to the club for another season.
Defensive duo Joe Rodon and Cameron Carter-Vickers are injured, however, whil Tanguy Ndombele looks set to leave the club.
As for Watford, Juraj Kucka and Nathaniel Chalobah are both doubts, while Joao Pedro isn’t likely to play any part on Sunday.
Considering Spurs have only lost one of their previous 15 matches against Watford, a comfortable home win is on the cards here.
Forbet predicts that Tottenham will extend their winning streak to three games with a high-scoring victory over the Hornets. Over 3.5 goals are also expected.
