PSG to continue winning start at Brest

Friday evening sees the start of another French top flight weekend of action with Stade Brest playing host to PSG at their Stade Francis-Le Blé as the hosts look to maintain their dogged start to this new Ligue 1 campaign.
Brest have made a solid if uninspiring start to their new French top flight season after picking up valuable points in draws with both Lyon (1-1 away from home) and Rennes (1-1 at home), and they’ll be looking for more of the same on Friday night as they look to contain an in-form PSG outfit.
However, league wins have been a rare commodity for Brest as the hosts have managed to register just one victory out of their last 12 matches overall in Ligue 1, that coming in the shape of a 2-1 win away from home at Saint-Etienne towards the end of last season.
On home soil at their Stade Francis-Le Blé though, Brest have failed to win any of their last six matches.
This sequence includes a 2-0 loss at home to Friday night’s visitors, PSG.
Despite losing in the Trophee des Champions 1-0 to last season’s Ligue 1 title winners, Lille, at the start of this season, PSG have hit the ground running in the new Ligue 1 season as the Paris club have recorded back-to-back wins against Troyes and Strasbourg to get them off and running.
Victories by 2-1 and 4-2 margins respectively perhaps indicate that goals could well feature on a regular basis with the mercurial Lionel Messi joining the PSG ranks this season, while the prospects of an away win here look extremely positive as PSG have won nine of their last 12 matches overall in all competitions.
In addition, PSG have won eight of their last nine away games in Ligue 1 and again look a force to be reckoned with this term, especially with the likes of Messi linking up with Neymar and Mbappe.
The visitors have scored 2 goals or more in seven of these previous nine games as well.
PSG have won six of the last seven meetings against Brest with 3 goals or more being scored and having made a winning start to this new Ligue 1 season already, the visitors look set to produce further goals on their way to victory here too.
