On Wednesday morning, FC Seoul host Incheon United at Seoul World Cup Stadium in the South Korean K-League, as both teams look to move up the table.
F C Seoul have had a poor K-League campaign so far picking up 17 points from the same amount of league matches. Their poor campaign has left the team from the Korean capital 11th place in the table and only above bottom of the table Gwangju by two points.
Considering their league position, it is not majorly surprising that Seoul have been in poor form of late in the K-League, failing to win in 11 matches.
However, all is not lost for Seoul, as five of their last six matches in the South Korean top-flight have finished in draws. Their recent K-League matches have been relatively low-scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in three of their last four outings.
A poor recent run on home soil has not done Seoul’s chances of moving up the table any favours, as they have failed to win in five league matches on home soil, having suffered four defeats in the process.
Incheon United are eighth-place in the table and just two points outside the Championship group with a game in hand on sixth-place Jeju United.
The visitors head into the clash on the back of a four-game unbeaten run, although they have also recorded just one win in their last five league outings.
A 1-1 draw with Jeonbuk Motors last time out means that both teams have scored in the visitors last four league matches.
The visitors top-six hopes may just lie in whether they can turn their away form around, as Incheon United have won just one of their last eight away matches in the K-League.
Forebet predicts that this clash will end in a high-scoring draw, which will do neither team’s aims for the rest of the season much good.
