Brazil will be confident of maintaining their 100% record at the 2021 Copa America when they face winless Ecuador in Goiania on Sunday.

Ecuador find themselves second from bottom in Group B, having recorded two draws and one defeat in their opening three games.

At the other end of the standings, Brazil are five points clear at the summit and seven points ahead of Ecuador.

The Brazilians kicked off their Copa America campaign with a resounding 3-0 victory over Venezuela before hammering Peru 4-0.

Granted, Tite’s men were made to work harder in their previous match. But they still managed to get the better of Colombia.

After going behind inside ten minutes, Roberto Firmino and Casemiro scored late goals to ensure that Brazil held onto their 100% record.

Having enjoyed 70% possession and racked up 15 shots, there is absolutely no denying that Brazil deserved to beat Colombia.

Let’s not forget the Brazilian’s head into Sunday’s clash on a ten-match winning streak in all competitions.

Tite’s side have also kept eight clean sheets in their previous ten games, scoring 30 goals along the way (three goals per game).

Meanwhile, Ecuador suffered a 1-0 defeat to Colombia in their opening match of the 2021 Copa America.

Since then, they have registered back-to-back 2-2 draws – holding both Venezuela and most recently Peru.

In fairness to Ecuador, they have dominated possession and created the bulk of the goalscoring opportunities in each of their last two outings.

But despite Ayrton Preciado scoring in the games against Venezuela and Peru, Ecuador have yet to tasted victory at the tournament.

When you look at the bigger picture, Ecuador are currently enduring a five-match winless run (two draws, three losses).

Needless to say, the Group B strugglers will have their work cut out when they come up against high-flying Brazil.

Head-to-head: In 33 meetings between the two nations, Ecuador have only ever beaten Brazil on two occasions.

Brazil are unbeaten in their last ten matches against Ecuador, having claimed eight wins and two draws since 2004.

Team news: Tite isn’t likely to alter his starting XI drastically on Sunday. With two goals and two assists in three Copa America games, Neymar will surely lead the line.

As for Ecuador, talisman Enner Valencia will almost certainly return to the side after missing the last game through suspension.

Given the gulf in quality between these two sides, anything other than a comfortable Brazil win would be a huge shock here.

Forebet predicts that Brazil will score over 1.5 goals and keep another clean sheet en route to seeing off Ecuador on Sunday.
