PSG could offer Bayern of a challenge in the Champions League final

On Wednesday night, Bayern Munich recorded a 3-0 win over French side Lyon to book their place in Sunday’s Champions League final. Bayern will now face a final against PSG in Lisbon, which has the hallmarks of an absolute classic.
In the end, the Bavarians recorded a comfortable victory over OL, although there were signs that Hansi Flick’s team could be exposed by a team with more clinical forwards.
No doubt Bayern Munich are a team in sparkling form and look like a winning machine. They have the brilliantly athletic Alphonso Davies at left-back, Serge Gnabry on the wing providing a massive attacking threat and of course the predatory striking instincts of Robert Lewandowski upfront.
The latter registered his 15th goal of yet another prolific campaign in the Champions League on Wednesday night. In reality, the German team have no worries in attack. However, the same cannot be said about their defence.
Bayern plays a frightening high defensive line, but it has been a highly successful way of playing for the Bavarians since Flick took charge of the team. The electric pace of Davies does often bail the German giants out.
His ability to make up ground so quickly has been one of the reasons the youngster has cemented his place in the team this season.
However, the youngster can only do so much and they allowed both Barcelona and Lyon numerous chances to score in the previous two rounds of the competition.
On Sunday night, Bayern cannot afford to give PSG that many chances. The likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar will take advantage of any slip-ups, even if the latter has not been great in front of goal in the last few rounds.
The truth is that Hansi Flick is unlikely to change his tactics, as the Bavarians have thrived this season playing their current system. If both teams play to the best of their abilities, then it could well prove to be a final for the ages.
