As their contracts expire, these players still have what it takes to play at the top level.

Juan Mata (Manchester United)

After 6 seasons with the club, the Spaniard seems to be heading for the exit this summer as his contract runs down. Manchester United generally only offer their more senior players one-year rolling contracts and with Mata now 31 years old, a deal is yet to have been agreed.

There will no doubt be a host of Premier League clubs interested in signing the World Cup winner but with Barcelona reportedly ready to offer him a two-year deal, he may favor a move back home.

Gary Cahill (Chelsea)

The club captain has been surplus to requirements since Maurizio Sarri took over as manager. Having won the Premier League and the Champions League among other trophies with Chelsea, there is no denying Cahill can still perform at the top level.

Cahill, now a free agent, has made it very clear that he is fit and ready to still play regularly in England’s top flight. At 33, clubs like Burnley and West Ham will be keen to acquire his services.

Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool)

Sturridge has fallen way down the pecking order at Liverpool and will be looking to resurrect his career with a move away from Anfield as his contract expires. Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi are all ahead of him as attacking options at the club.

Newcastle and West Ham are both reportedly interested in the former England striker but a move to Leicester City seems the most likely option, reuniting him with his former boss Brendan Rodgers.

Antonio Valencia (Manchester United)

The 33-year-old has enjoyed a successful 10-year spell with United but will not have his contract renewed this summer. The experienced Ecuadorian can play at either right-back or right wing making him a versatile squad player.

Valencia is proven in the Premier League and would be a good addition to a number of sides in the division.

Andy Carroll (West Ham United)

Carroll is another player that has been hampered by injury, making just 12 appearances for the Hammers last season. He has struggled for consistency over the years but there is no doubt that Carroll still possess the ability to bully Premier League defenses.

With his contract now expiring, there will surely be no shortage of offers for the 30-year-old striker.
