Crystal Palace have a fantastic chance to move away from the relegation zone on Tuesday night, as the Eagles host rock-bottom Swansea at Selhurst Park.

The home side have collected a draw and suffered one defeat since the appointment of the experienced Sam Allardyce as the team’s boss. The Eagles recent poor run of form has seen them drop to 17th in the Premier League table and are also just two points clear of the drop zone.

The Londoners have suffered nine defeats in their last 12 Premier League games and have failed to win any of their last five games. However, the Eagles did produce a spirited performance in a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal last time out, despite missing a number of key players through injury and suspension.

This clash represents the perfect opportunity for Allardyce’s side to end their winless run and move up the table.

Swansea are the definition of a crisis club. The Swans are currently manager-less and bottom of the Premier League table. The Welsh side have suffered for straight defeats in the top-flight and in the process conceded three or more goals in all four of those defeats.

Media reports suggest that former Derby boss Paul Clement is set to take over at the struggling club. However, it seems unlikely he will be in place to take charge of this game.

One positive for Swansea is that they are not cut adrift at the bottom, as they are just four points behind Palace. An unlikely victory in London would give the Swans a fighting chance of staying in the top-flight this season. Another defeat would just add to the misery in south Wales.

Forebet predicts that Palace will inflict a defeat on Swansea in this clash and move clear of the relegation zone.
