Jamie Vardy looking to finish the season in style

On Saturday evening Leicester city were crowned champions of England having dispatched a lacklustre Everton 3-1 at the King Power Stadium.

England international striker Jamie Vardy’s sensational campaign continued, as he scored a brace against the Toffees and even missed a penalty kick. The 29-year-old has enjoyed a meteoric rise this season and has scored 24 goals in the Premier League this season.

His goal scoring exploits has seen the striker capped by England and the former-non league star is now a certainty for the Three Lions Euro 2016 squad.

However, before the summer tournament Vardy has unfinished business with the Foxes, as he challenges for the Premier League golden boot. The striker is in competition with England teammate Harry Kane who has 25 goals, while Manchester City star Sergio Aguero has 23 for the season.

Aguero and Kane still have to play to this weekend, but Vardy’s last chance to add to his tally will come in the Foxes last game of the season at Chelsea next weekend.

The odds are against Vardy winning the award, but Leicester and their top scorer have been beating the odds for the majority of the season. The Foxes won the Premier League title against the odds and Vardy got to the top-flight against all odds.

Leicester’s energetic will not care if the odds are against him winning the golden boot. He will carry on until the final whistle at Stamford Bridge in pursuit of yet another honour to add to his collection from what has quite frankly been a dream year for the striker and his team.
