With the top four teams in Spain’s top-flight currently separated by just six points, it’s all to play for in the La Liga title race.

With just four games left the play this season, Atletico Madrid lead Real Madrid and Barcelona by two points, while fourth-place Sevilla are four points behind the Clasico rivals.

Funnily enough, the top four all face one of their title foes this weekend. Barcelona host Atletico on Saturday, before Sevilla visit Real Madrid on Sunday.

So, who will win the La Liga title race? Can Diego Simeone’s men hold on? Will Real Madrid defend their crown? Can Barca return to the summit. Or will Sevilla upset the odds?

Let’s take a look at the contenders.

1. Atletico Madrid – 76 points

Having conceded just 22 goals in 34 matches, it is no real surprise that Atletico Madrid boast the best defensive record in La Liga. After facing Barcelona this weekend, Simeone’s side come up against Real Sociedad, Osasuna and Valladolid.

Luis Suarez has netted 19 goals in 28 appearances this term, although he hasn’t scored since March. Needless to say, he would love nothing more than to break his drought against his former club this weekend.

2. Real Madrid – 74 points

It’s fair to say that Real Madrid face a tricky run-in. Following their clash with Sevilla, Zinedine Zidane’s team face Granada, Athletic Bilbao and Villarreal, who are all competing for a Europa League spot.

Los Blancos have only lost four of their 34 league matches this season. However, they have been held to eight draws along the way. The reigning champions can’t afford to drop any more points from now until the end of the season.

3. Barcelona – 74 points

Barcelona probably have the easiest final fixtures of all the four title contenders. The Catalans play Atletico on Saturday before finishing the campaign with matches against Levante, Celta Vigo and Eibar.

Ronald Koeman’s side are by far the highest scorers in the league, having netted 80 goals this term – 19 more than Atletico. Still, Barca have the worst defensive record in the top four and have a number of injuries at the moment.

4. Sevilla – 70 points

Of course, it would be a huge shock Sevilla overtook Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico at this stage. They will need to win all four of their remaining games and hope the other three drop points in the process.

Julen Lopetegui’s men could have moved to within one point of Barca and Real on Monday, yet they suffered a damaging defeat to Bilbao. They must now beat Madrid, Valencia, Villarreal and Alaves to stand any change of triumphing.
