Boavista and Moreirense set for a close contest
Boavista FC vs Moreirense FC - 06/06/2020
2519
The Portuguese Primeira Liga is back up and running again after the enforced break and is back in full swing. Two teams who seem to be in the limbo of the Portuguese top-flight are Boavista and Moreirense, who meet on Saturday afternoon.
The teams look to have little left to play for, although they still have plenty of games remaining to climb up the table.
Boavista have thrown away the chance of European football for next season with some poor form of late. A four-game winless in the Primeira Liga has left Daniel Ramos’ team 13 points adrift of the top-four and the European spots.
A 1-1 draw at Tondela last time out at least ended a three-game losing streak in the top-flight for Boavista.
A woeful recent home record in the Portuguese top-flight has played a part in their recent struggles, as Boavista have won just once in their last seven home matches in the Primeira Liga. In fact, they have lost five of their last seven league games on home soil.
Moreirense are just a point above their hosts, having embarked on a six-game unbeaten run in the Portuguese top-flight. Last time out the visitors recorded a 2-0 win over Maritimo. The game was another low-scoring league match for the visitors, as four of their last five matches have produced under 2.5 goals.
Although their recent league outings have been low-scoring, both teams have scored in eight of their last nine Primeira Liga games.
Moreirense are unbeaten in four league games on their travels but have recorded just one win in 12 on the road, as three of their last four away matches have finished in draws.
There is not much between these teams in terms of position, so it is little surprise that Forebet predicts that this game will produce a low-scoring draw.
