Both teams of Fenerbahce and Benfica demonstrate serious ambitions for the finals of Europa League and certainly both staff have the necessary skills to achieve this goal. Benfica and Fenerbahçe face against each other for the first time since season 1975/1976 when the Portuguese won a heavy victory 7-0.

Fenerbahce made a first loss of 11 games in the last round of the Turkish Super League but probably all the players were already thinking about the semifinal clash with Benfica.
