Athletic Bilbao travelled to Mallorca to kick off Round 4. Despite both sides getting into double figures in terms of attempts on goal, the match ended goalless, extending Bilbao’s unbeaten start to season.

Saturday’s Round-Up

Real Madrid survived a late scare at home to Levante. A Karim Benzema brace and a goal from Casemiro gave the hosts of 3-0 lead at half-time. Levante grabbed two goals in the second half, but Real Madrid held on to claim the victory.

Two goals from Gerard Moreno helped Villarreal to a convincing 3-0 win away at Leganes. A Jonathan Silva own-goal capped off a disappointing match for the home side.

Real Sociedad clinched an impressive win against Atletico. Martin Odegaard and Nacho Monreal both scored in the space of 3 second half minutes to hand the visitors their first defeat of the season.

16-year-old Ansu Fati scored one and assisted one within the first 10 minutes as Barcelona hammered Valencia 5-2. Luis Suarez came off the bench to score twice, while Frenkie de Jong and Gerard Pique completed the scoring for Barcelona.

Super Sunday

Espanyol came from behind to win away at Eibar. Ivan Ramis gave the home team the lead, but goals from Facundo Ferreyra and Esteban Granero turned the game around. Naldo saw red late on, Espanyol ran out 2-1 winners.

A first-half Joan Jordan strike was enough to put his team top of La Liga, as Sevilla dominated Alaves. The visitors registered 19 shots, while also claiming 62% of the possession.

Two red cards inside the first 30 minutes doomed Celta Vigo, as German Sanchez and Yangel Herrera gave Granada all three points on the road.

Osasuna rescued a draw at Valladolid. Pablo Hervias gave the home side the lead on 65 minutes, but Robert Ibanez scored late on. Osasuna are yet to be beaten so far this season.

Penalties from Jaime Mata and Joaquin ensured the points were shared between Betis and Getafe. Betis were shown two red cards, but managed to hold on to secure a draw.
