Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur played out a thrilling draw at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Raheem Sterling gave the hosts the lead on 20 minutes after converting an excellent Kevin de Bruyne assist.

The England forward produced a well-guided header to send the ball past Hugo Lloris and into the Spurs goal.

The little Brazilian rose above everyone to make an immediate impact and head the ball into the net.

Manchester City thought they had won the match late on as Gabriel Jesus sent the stadium into delirium with a last gasp strike.

However, replays showed a handball by Man City defender Aymeric Laporte in the build-up, which meant the goal was dramatically ruled out by VAR.

After missing the majority of last season through injury, Manchester City fans will be delighted to see Kevin de Bruyne fit and playing well again.

After picking up an assist on the opening day against West Ham, de Bruyne made another two goals on Saturday.

Not only did he create, but his overall play looked sharp and he was able to link up with his team mates effectively.

The Belgian already has more assists to his name this season than the last campaign and if his injuries are behind him, he will make a real difference to City’s team this year.
