On Friday night, Nantes host Lyon at Stade de la Beaujoire, as the visitors look to consolidate their top-three spot in Ligue One.

Nantes are currently 15th place in Ligue One, seven points clear of the relegation zone in the French top-flight. The home side has failed to win in four league outings, having suffered three straight league defeats. Last time out in Ligue One, Nantes suffered a 1-0 defeat at Toulouse.

A part of Nantes recent poor league form is that they have struggled for goals, failing to score in three of their last four league outings.

Nantes recent home form has also been part of the problem too, as they have won just once in five matches on home soil, losing three times in the process.

Despite their recent struggles at home in Ligue One, Nantes have failed to score in just one of their last 11 home matches.

Lyon currently occupy the last Champions League spot in Ligue One, six points clear of fourth place Saint Etienne in the race for qualification for Europe’s elite competition for next season.

Last time out OL suffered a surprise 3-1 home defeat by Dijon. The defeat ended a four-game unbeaten run for Bruno Genesio’s team in the French top-flight. The result against Dijon means that four of Lyon’s previous five league matches have produced over 2.5 goals.

Lyon’s recent away form in Ligue One has not been great. In fact, a 1-0 win at Rennes ended a three-game run without a win on their travels for OL in Ligue One. Lyon’s recent away matches in Ligue One have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five games.

Forebet predicts that Lyon will strengthen their position in Ligue One’s top-three by recording a victory in a high scoring encounter.
