Juventus to dent AC Milan’s top-four challenge

On Saturday evening, Juventus host AC Milan at the Allianz Stadium, as the visitors look to seal an unlikely win in Turin.

Juventus are once again dominating Serie A, as the Bianconeri are currently 18 points clear of Napoli in second place in the Italian top-flight. A run of seven victories in their last eight Serie A games has put the reigning champions in complete control of the title race.

Last time out Massimiliano Allegri’s side recorded a 2-0 away win at Girona. The game was the Juventus’ third straight match in the league which produced under 2.5 goals.

The reigning Italian champions are 17 games unbeaten on home soil in Serie A, having recorded 16 wins in the process, including their last three home matches. The home side have been prolific on home soil of late in the Italian top-flight, scoring at least twice in five of their last six matches.

AC Milan are currently in the final Champions League spot in Serie A. However, the Rossoneri are just one point clear of in-form Atalanta in fifth place.

The visitors good run of form in recent months has dipped of late, as a 1-1 home draw with Udinese last time out means Gennaro Gattuso’s side have now failed to win in three Serie A games, including losing twice against Inter and Sampdoria.

Milan’s recent away form in the Italian top-flight has been inconsistent. However, the Rossoneri have lost just once in nine away league games. The one defeat came in the aforementioned defeat at Sampdoria in their previous away match in Serie A.

The visitor’s recent away games in Serie A have been low scoring, with seven of their previous ten matches on their travels producing under 2.5 goals.

Forebet predicts that Juventus will record a victory in a low scoring encounter to dent AC Milan’s chances of a top-four finish.
