On Wednesday night, Championship leaders Norwich will look to maintain their position at the top of the table, as the Canaries welcome Hull City to Carrow Road.

Norwich City have won their last four league games to move two points clear at the top of the second-tier table. Last time out, Daniel Farke’s team recorded a 1-0 home win against Swansea City.

The game against the Swans ended an eight-game run of high scoring matches, as their previous eight league matches had produced over 2.5 goals. The fact that Norwich have scored at least two goals in three of their last four games have contributed to those recent high scoring encounters.

The Canaries have been strong on home soil of late in the Championship. They are unbeaten in five home games, having recorded four victories. Farke’s team have been prolific of late on home soil in the league, scoring at least two goals in nine of their last ten league games at Carrow Road.

Hull City are just outside the play-off spots, five points adrift of the Championship top six. However, a recent inconsistent run of league form has hindered the Tigers chances of making the top six this season. A run of three wins in their last nine league matches is not a great record.

Last time out, the Humberside outfit suffered a 3-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest to ended a mini two-game winning run in the league.

Hull have been poor on their travels of late in the Championship, failing to win in five away games, while suffering four successive matches. Conceding too many goals has been the biggest factor in the Tigers recent poor away form, as they have conceded at least two goals in their last five league matches on their travels.

Forebet predicts that Norwich will record another victory in a high scoring encounter to keep up their challenge for automatic promotion.
