The Canaries set to continue flying high with a win at Norwich

On Wednesday night, Preston host league leaders Norwich at Deepdale in the Championship, as the visitors look to consolidate their position at the top of the table.

Preston are currently comfortable in midtable in the second tier, having embarked on an unbeaten run of five games. Last time out the home side won 2-1 at north west rivals Bolton Wanderers.

Preston NE have been relatively prolific of late in the second tier, scoring at least two goals in three of their last four league matches. They have also conceded just once in their last three league outings.

Preston have struggled for wins on home soil in the Championship, having failed to win in four league outings at Deepdale. North End’s last three league games at home have finished in draws. However, Preston have lost just one of their last ten Championship games at Deepdale, so are not an easy team to beat on their own patch.

Norwich City are currently two points clear of second place Leeds at the top of the Championship table. The Canaries are also five points clear of third place Sheffield United and looking good for automatic promotion.

Daniel Farke’s team recorded a 3-0 win over Ipswich last time out in the East Anglia derby to stay ahead of their promotion rivals. The win against the Tractor Boys means that the visitors have scored at least twice in their last four league outings.

Norwich City are currently on a run of 13 games unbeaten on their travels in the Championship. However, the visitors have drawn four of their last six away games in the second tier.

Although their recent away games in the Championship have not been that high scoring, both teams have scored in four of their last five matches.

Forebet predicts that Norwich will aid their promotion chances by recording a victory in a low scoring encounter.
