On Friday night, Dijon host Marseille in Ligue One, with both teams in need of points to help them achieve their respective objectives this season.

Dijon are currently just a few places and two points above the relegation play-off position in the French top-flight. A 1-0 defeat at Angers last time out in Ligue One means that Dijon have now won just two of their last 19 games in Ligue One. To make matters worse the home side has also suffered defeat in four of their last six outings in the league.

Dijon’s recent outings in the French top-flight have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in five of their last six matches, including in their last four league games.

Despite their recent struggles in Ligue One, Dijon are unbeaten in four home matches, having recorded two wins and picked up two draws. Their recent league matches on home soil have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in three of their last four games.

Marseille are underachieving in Ligue One, as OM have slipped to seventh in Ligue One. The visitors have recorded just two wins in their last nine league outings. However, one of those wins was last time out, as OM defeated Bordeaux 1-0 at the Velodrome.

Rudy Garcia’s team have struggled for wins on their travels in the French top-flight, winning just once in their last five away games in the league, while suffering three defeats in the process. OM’s recent games on their travels have been relatively high scoring with over 2.5 goals scored in five of their last seven matches.

Marseille have a good recent record against Dijon, winning four of the last six meetings with the home side while suffering just one defeat.

Forebet predicts that Marseille will record a victory in a high scoring game to move level on points with fourth place Saint Etienne.
