Hertha set for a comfortable win over Schalke

On Friday night, Hertha Berlin host Schalke at the Olympiastadion Berlin, as the home side looks to push closer to the Bundesliga European spots.
Hertha Berlin are currently seventh place in the German top-flight table, a point away from the Europa League play-off spot. The team from the capital have been highly inconsistent of late in the Bundesliga, though.
In fact, a 3-1 victory at Nurnberg last time out in the league ended a three-match winless run for the home side. Their recent Bundesliga games have offered good entertainment value, with their last four matches producing over 2.5 goals.
Hertha BSC’s recent home form in the German top-flight has been patchy, as they have won just once in their last five league outings at the Olympiastadion. However, three of those five games have finished in draws.
One concern for Hertha in recent home games in the Bundesliga is that they have conceded at least two goals in three of their last four outings.
Schalke 04 are currently 12th place in the Bundesliga but could move to within three points of the home side with a victory in this clash.
The visitors have recorded two straight wins in the German top-flight, beating Stuttgart and last time out Wolfsburg 2-1. The win over the Wolves in their last game followed a familiar trend, as it was Schalke’s seventh straight Bundesliga game where both teams had scored. Talking of goals, four of the visitors last five league matches have produced over 2.5 goals.
The aforementioned win over Stuttgart ended a four-game run without a Bundesliga win for the visitors on their travels. They have only lost one of their last six away games in the German top-flight, though.
Forebet predicts that Hertha will record a comfortable win in a high scoring clash to enhance their chances of sealing a European spot this season.
